Naomi's Gardening Demo at People's Earth Day Farmer's Market

People's Co-op Earth Day at the Farmers' Market 2 - 7pm

The co-op will be celebrating all things green and growing at the market this week. There will be a plant start give away as well as a plant start swap, classes, music and more. Welcoming back spring and summer farmers as they return to the market. Look for expanded offerings from Farmageddon (photo of farmer Neil R.) and Northwest Organics and MC Farms will be joining us for the season, bringing her beautiful fresh cut flowers and greenhouse offerings.

2-3 pm Spinning and Fiber ArtsDemo with People's own Mathilde Lind, learn how yarn is made!
2-6pm Plant Start Giveaway
Come to the info booth to get a ticket and then pick out a free plant start from any of our farmers or from Wildcat Mountain, our supplier for the co-op. Come early for the best selection, there are only a limited supply of tickets so grab one before they're gone (one per family please).
3:30-5:30 Plant Start Swap
Bring extra starts from your garden that you would like to share with others and take home some new things for planting!
3-5 pm Music from Kory Quinn
5-6 pm Container Gardening Workshop w/ Naomi
Naomi from Naomi's Organic Farm Supply gives us some tips for growing starts in containers for a porch or windowsill.

Yes, we'll be here with lovely plant starts, seeds, chicks and so much more to get your garden on from 11 - 4pm on Sunday (just closing one hour early to go home and eat yummy food)
